Momochi Zabuza is a missing-nin hunter from Mist. He had unsuccessfully hunted Team Uplift during their missing-nin adventure. He died in the Battle of Nagi Island, his last thought was about who will take care of Yukino.[1]

He once had an apprentice named Yuki Haku, who died trying to save him.
Plot[]
Zabuza was a boogeyman for Team Uplift, although he hadn't hunted down until the Hot Spring mission, lacking a lead.
Zabuza was dispatched to Hot Spring after Team Uplift caused an international incident, but was unable to pick up a trail.[2] He later went to the land of Snow where he met Yuki Yukino, and learned a technique from her, Sleep Beneath the Snow Technique.[3]
Naruto defeated Zabuza in the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, almost leading to his death. However, he used the faking death technique Yukino taught him, and he was able to survived until he was rescued by Yukino.[4]
When Zabuza came back to the village before the end of the exam, he was ordered to officiate the end of the tournament, much to the surprise of Jiraiya and the leaf contingent.[5]
Zabuza almost started World War Four by attempting to leak secrets in front of an international audience. Hhowever, he was distracted by Hazō's speech, which angered the hunter-nin enough to use KI against the boy. That gave an opening for Jiraiya to fight him in order to stop the leaking. [6]
