Battle of Nagi Island or internally known as the Battle of the Gods to players and QM, is a pivotal battle involving the unified Ninja Alliance(The big five) versus Akatsuki that ended in Akatsuki's defeat and the annihilation of much of villages' military power.
Akatsuki's motivation is to create world peace through a ritual of unclear purpose.

The actual battle was very even, with total defeat for Akatsuki while the alliance was very close to being wiped out.
Aftermath[]
Sand lost nearly all their elite jounin roster, Mist was hammered as well. Lighting and Rock were nearly untouched due to only having a handful of jonin.[1]

Akatsuki Survivors[]
In the post-battle bargaining between Survivors of Alliance and Pain, the later was allowed to resurrect his friends on condition of not finishing his technique. The names of revived Akatsuki members remain unknown, but there were seven of them[2]
